They wanted something reminiscent of the iconic Woodstock poster to reflect the selection of music of this year’s show, but with a few minor differences. For instance, they wanted their mascot, an owl, rather than a dove perched on the guitar. They also wanted to tie the design into their trip to New York that summer so I added a NY Skyline on the front.
